Dr. Scott Wagner
Dr. Wagner was raised in Toronto and came to the United States to play college baseball. As an undergrad his degree focused on Sports Medicine. He received his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in 1999 and his post doctorate for Manipulation under Anesthesia in 2003 from New York Chiropractic College. He is currently the Chiropractor for the University of Virginia. Many UVA athletes have benefited immensely from his Chiropractic and Sports Medicine knowledge. In 2010 Dr. Wagner completed the Clinical Golf Program by Professional Sports Care. He travels around the U.S. to treat golfers in the PGA Tour, Champions Tour, and Nationwide Tour.
Dr. Wagner lives in Charlottesville, VA with his two children. He enjoys playing Hockey and Golf.
Dr. Mitchell Sterling
Dr. Mitchell Sterling grew up in the Lancaster, NY. He attained his undergraduate degree in 2009 with a concentration in Biology. Through his childhood and college football career he used chiropractic to help sustain his active lifestyle. He decided he wanted to help people continue to do the things they love daily, and became passionate about pursuing a career as a Chiropractor. Dr. Sterling graduated from New York Chiropractic College in 2012 with an Advanced degree in Sports Science Human Performance. He has also completed certifications in Active Release Technique and is a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner.
Dr. Sterling lives in Charlottesville with his wife Lindsey and their daughter. Spending time with his family is very important to him. In his spare time, Dr. Sterling likes to stay active while playing baseball, basketball, and hunting.
Dr. Derek Sisak
Dr. Sisak grew up in Barnesville, PA. He graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 2011 where he earned a B.S in Psychology. He attained his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Southern California University of Health Sciences in 2016. During this time he concentrated heavily on Sports Medicine and is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. At a young age he sustained a low back injury while playing high school basketball. After successfully recovering from his injury under chiropractic care, he knew that he wanted to help others in the same fashion.
Dr. Sisak moved to Charlottesville in 2016. He enjoys the outdoors, exercise, and spending time with family and friends.
Director of Operations
Kristin was raised in Southwest Virginia, and attended Virginia High School. Since she was five, Kristin played softball and basketball. She later continued to play both sports in college. This is where she learned the importance of taking care of her body through preventative chiropractic care. In 2008, Kristin moved to Charlottesville and decided to join Dr. Wagner’s team.
Kristin is one of the friendly faces you will see at the front when you first come into the office. Kristin and the entire team at Dr. Wagner’s office strive on customer service and educating each patient on how chiropractic care can improve your quality of life. “Dr. Wagner and his team have my back, who has yours?”
I first discovered Chiropractic in 2002 and have been a believer ever since. I came to Scott Wagner Chiropractic and Sports Medicine via California in 2013, where I attended Antelope Valley University. I graduated with my National Medical Billing and coding certification, and my actual career in Chiropractic was born. I was involved in a traumatic car accident leaving my right leg damaged. Dr. Wagner has treated me since and I am on the path to wellness. Being a part of Dr. Scott Wagner’s team is teaching me How to Stay Young My First 100 years!
Lindsay Johnson, has been a chiropractic patient since she was 16 years old. A bad back injury, and several tough sports are what first brought her to seek out care, and she has never looked back. She has been riding horses since she was very young, and wants to make sure she can for a very long time. She is married to Dr. Alan Johnson, and most recently they both welcomed their first daughter, Clara who is one of the newest patients at Scott Wagner Chiropractic.
Kasey Patterson was born and raised in Charlottesville Virginia. She graduated Old Dominion University in 2014, with a Bachelors of Exercise Science. Also, she has been a patient at Dr. Wagners since April of 2015. After quitting swimming due to a shoulder injury and multiple surgeries, chiropractic care was her last resort. Since April, she has been able to teach more cycle classes and weight lift pain free under regular chiropractic care. My entire family is on track towards a healthy future with Scott Wagner Chiropractic!
Front Office Assistant
Rikki was born and raised in Charlottesville, VA and attended Albemarle High school. She then went to Ferrum College to study Physical Therapy. After college she returned home to Charlottesville to start a family and to start a career in healthcare. She heard about Scott Wagner Chiropractic from countless family members of hers that see Dr. Wagner at his practice. Rikki then started working as the front office assistant and instantly fell in love with the practice, so much that she, her husband and son have all starting coming to see Dr. Wagner.
Emma Taylor was born and raised in Charlottesville. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2012 with a degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise. She has been a true believer in chiropractic care since the age of 16, when Dr. Wagner helped her with her back! She loves seeing all the patients come in and get better and become true believers themselves. She enjoys playing with her dogs outside in her big yard in the country, where she lives with her boyfriend. She also likes spending time with her family, most of whom still live in Charlottesville. One day she hopes to become a nurse and continue to help people smile!
Jeremy is a chiropractic assistant who specializes in Patient care by teaching stretches, giving therapy, and anything else required to get people through their care plan. I have been taking care of people my whole life and it is what I love to do and I’m always willing do to what it takes. Prior to this I worked at Augusta Health for 10 years and use that experience to help others.
Ashley grew up in Lawton, Oklahoma. She has a degree from Eastern Mennonite University in Recreation Sports Leadership with a concentration in Movement Studies. She also earned minors in Exercise Science and Coaching. While in college she was a two sport athlete in basketball and track & field. She brings her experience in training and coaching to help motivate patients to achieve their goals. Ashley lives in Ruckersville, Virginia. She enjoys working out, playing basketball and coaching.
Lindsey has been a team member since March 2016. She is a mother of three beautiful children, and enjoys cooking, gardening, and helping animals in her spare time. Lindsey has always enjoyed working with people and now has the opportunity to help others through preventative chiropractic care. Personally, she suffered a long history of back pain and through the chiropractic adjustments she is well on her way to wellness! Lindsey loves being a part of the Scott Wagner Chiropractic and Sports Medicine team and continues to set personal goals for herself to live pain free!
